NEW BUILD PROJECT

Brief:

To provide a planting plan that offers a stylish and minimalist garden that merges tropical retreat with formal english influence.

Approach:

Plant palette includes a blend of : palms, cycads, vireya, magnolia, protea, roses, camellia hedge underplanted with pratia, cerastium, spanish shawl, succulents and mondo grass. 

PERENNIAL GARDEN PROJECT

Brief:

To provide a planting plan for a perennial garden that is wildly colourful. Designed to be gazed at. 

Approach:

Create a colour palette of loud orange to complementary pinks to blue to purple. Year round interest is provided for but summer flowers are the highlight. 

PRE-SALE GARDEN ENHANCEMENT PROJECT

Brief:

To tidy up the existing garden, select plants and instal lawn edging that enhances the overall effect of the outside space, adding value to the property.

Approach:

To create a simple design with plants that can handle extreme conditions, provide structure and texture. We selected locally available plants including a range of succulents at the entrance with Lomandra ‘Misty Green’. The internal garden features a Ficus tuffy hedge with a Kowhai tree in the corner for future shade and screening, and Westringia brevifolia which can be pruned into cloud mounds, punctuated with Lomandra ‘Frosty Tops’. Opposite this, Eriostemon ‘Flower Girl’ is mass planted with Dicondra ‘Silver Falls’ below. Along the trellis Trachelospermum jasminoides was selected to provide the future owner with options to have it climb or maintained as a ground cover.

NEW OWNER PROJECT

Brief:

To offer advice and recommendations for managing the property and adding value. To provide a concept plan that provides minor interventions that have the greatest overall affect for aesthetics, beauty, easy care and budget.

Approach:

Improve the gardens function, create simplicity, to be tidy and as low maintenance as possible while adding interest. Aesthetic is minimalist, slightly formal with clean edges.
